Duke Nukem Forever

Hey did they ever realese any builds of this game ? Because I remember like 3 years ago all I could think about was playing this sweet ass game .



now I know they showed a bad ass video at E3 in 2001 , but then went back into developement and are supposidly stil going to release it right ? If anyone knows any more about this let me know .

Dont think its ever been leaked at all. Thats not to say it might not be in a private collectors hands.

 

I really wanted to play the first build of this game (used the Quake II engine then they switched over to Unreal). It's probably nothing like it originally was, though.

As for someone owning it, 3D Realms or one of its employees probably has an archive of them somewhere. That's just my guess, though. Maybe they destroy it with the rest of the worthwhile goods .

 

I have a PC Gamer holiday edition with screens of it if anyone wants me to scan it.

When / if this game comes out, will it have really outdated graphics or did they restart it to look sort of current gen?

 

They are always upgrading the engine of the game

I really hope it doesn't turn into another Sonic Xtreme and just not come out.

 

they might as well not, I mean it's been vaporware for so long that it's bound to be a huge letdown anyways.

That's what I would like to know. I'd love to have a go at the older versions of this game.

 

It's definitely not available to the public, it's in the hands of former employees, etc.

It's actually quite a shame, since Duke Nukem 3D was a hilarious game.

 

i've heard they hired alot of artist & programmers less then a year ago. It looks to be in major production again.

I mean look at prey. Thats been in development almost just as long and now finaly is comming out next year (looks fantastic too).

 

yeah and also iirc they bought the physics engine meqon to use with the game less then a year ago. but now when meqon is bought by ageia they've probably switched over to theire engine now.

don't know about graphics engine.. but I was talking about physics engines.
