EA makes offer for Take-Two

then why not just the 2k sports developer? I believe Sega sold them to Take Two in the first place, when 2k was called Visual Concepts. It would certainly cost EA less than a couple billion to buy up all of Take Two's other developers and their publishing power just to shut down a sports developer..

 

There is still other stuff there too L.A. Noire, Civilization ...

I think Rockstar is going to pull to Bungie though and soon.

 

Visual Concepts was the developement team that Sega Sold to 2K, 2K holds the exclusive 3rd party rights to MLB Baseball.

So the Purchase of Take 2 would mean that the MLB deal would then be EA's (unless there is some other clause or something...)

No only do i think this is an issue of Sports games.. i really think that EA was hoping that 2K would bite on their offer and then EA would reap the profits from GTAiV

If this sale was to ever go though.. i don't se how this would be a good thing for customers.. (even LESS choices of sports games etc.)

 

I read that Take2 are waiting until GTA4 launches before deciding on the offer, although the press seems to think EA will just up the offer (GTA4 is going to be massive, obviously).
