ok so assuming i fix the sram line things, would replacing the SRAM and battery with completely new ones fix the problem?
where can i do this, im not the best solderer as badad clearly pointed out ;_; who in uk other than badad (he wont trade with me sadly) can do this for me?

You know exactly why, dont think you can speak to me how you did in PM and then expect me to be civil. The fact I am even bothering to try to help you is the best you are going to get.

Facts are, you are out of your depth. If you do not like that, well - the truth hurts.

I doubt you need to replace the sram. If one of those traces are broken and is an address line - the sram will be detecting as the wrong size and trip the protection screen (which you are seeing). So sounds pretty likely to me.

    ammmeter measures current.
    voltmeter measures voltage.
Multimeter measures (usually) both and more.

Its kinda in the name "multi"

Fun Fact: the initial arguement was about a year ago. you've been uncivil ever since.

i mean, are you even an adult male, like, holding grudges is the most immature and feminine thing i can imagine. if you want to act like some sort of petulant teenage girl please dont help, honestly.

    EDIT: like i said; uppity.
and dont reply, i dont want this thread to turn into you getting mad as usual

In that video, did you have the board sitting on bed sheets? You *really* shouldn't put circuit boards on sheets and materials that build up static.

I'm sure someone out there can handle fixing it up. If you took some nice pictures of the pcb it might be more obvious if you have a trace break on the SRAM.

I'm not mad, if you are a cunt (which you are), I shall to continue to treat you like one. You have not apologized for criticizing me and insulting my parenting (which was completely unrelated to anything and COMPLETELY out of order - but you are a child, so its to be expected really) and somehow expect me to be nice to you, when I was doing you a fucking favour in the first place by offering to save you money when I wasnt even taking on work at that time.

If you dont like the price someone quotes you, here is some advice - dont go having a bitch fit, insulting them and their parenting. Politely decline and pay the higher price you had already been quoted elsewhere. This is a life lesson that will serve you well.

Year+ or not doesn't matter. I wasnt insulting you in this thread, you started that (again). I just told you that you are out of your depth. If that insulted you, like I said - the truth hurts, but you at least need to know before you kill more stuff.

Static usually isn't a problem when you take decent precautions. But bed sheets, comforters, certain clothing, etc are definitely to be avoided when handling electronics. You certain never want to place them down on it. You should put any bare circuit boards on a surface like cardboard, hardwood, etc. Never carpet or cloth. Before handling any circuit boards it's a good idea to discharge your body of static by touching a good ground like a water pipe. They do make anti static bracelets too.

With some good clear and focused pictures it really might help to figure out if you have a damaged trace or two. But you'll need to be careful if you try to fix it yourself. If you try to repair something and don't have experience you can end up causing more damage rather than fixing it. And like I said before it seems likely that your cartridge can be repaired.

    wow thanks dude.
I love advice like that, i'll definately remember that next time i handle circuitry!

and would a conductive pen cut it?

ps i'll try get another video up by tomorrow.

I bought silver conductive paint and will fix the traces ASAP.

If that doesnt resolve the problem, im going to have to pay someone to change the SRAM chip.

I still doubt any chips are damaged. A bad connection somewhere seems more likely.

Word to the wise, its not a good idea to go around making people flustered with personal attacks.
I'm very sure you're probably not ready for this type of repair ,but here goes: when a trace is broken and can't easily be followed to and easy solder point take an Exacto knife and scrape away the insulation over the two halves of the trace ,then bridge the two halves of the trace by dragging solder. Afterwards cover the repaired trace with enamel of electrical tape.

You can also use special pcb lacquer that you can spray on too :)

Should be pretty obvious, but it's probably a good idea to start with (carefully!) scraping away a bit of insulation even when using that conductive paint stuff, so it actually has something to bridge between. Just sayin'.

I'd use a multimeter fist and check continuity from the contacts to the sram before I would "repair" anything.
