Alright, so this isnt a horror story like some of yours, but this guy just is annoying as all hell. He buys the game yesterday, I tell him the game will ship once the money hits my bank account from paypal seeing as though Im poor and all. Hes already complaining that it hasnt shipped, a day later, and complains because he wanted the game now. The guy is off the walls if he thing a poor college student can just pull money out of the air.
Some people are just plain unreasonable while others are a pleasure to deal with. Maybe you should get a paypal debit card. This is what I did and now I just use it to ship items without having to wait for the money transfer. I got sick of having to front $50 in shipping for over seas items.
yeah, I got the paypal card too, you don't have to wait, and you don't get charged a fee if you use the card to pay for the shipping at the post office..
Yeah I plan on it, thing is I just signed up for the account 3 or 4 days ago. Needed a new one since the old was linked to my parents and you cant change the name.
Most people think ebay is a store... I told a guy five business days. He had no idea that there was no delivery on saturday and sunday and complained it took too long. Ebay is going downhill, especially now that you can place search bombs in your descriptions and make your items pop for completely unrelated searches...
And some people buy stuff without realizing what it is. I sold an famicom game some time ago, clearly listed as cart only. of course correctly listed in the NES game category. sometimes i hate ebay even thought i still use it. The most problems i've had with ebay is people who bid for my items and take forever to pay and fail to respond to any messages sent to them so i eventually re-list them
I've been dealing on ebay since 99 and ran into very few problems. The biggest problem I have now is people not understanding I won't ship your item until I get your payment and if you pay on saturday or sunday your fucked till monday...altho lately I've had a huge issue with people taking forever to ship I'm not talking 3-4 days I'm talking like 3-4 weeks and still no package.
Post these sellers, so that we can avoid them . I have a general rule where if it takes more than 2 weeks, then I start threatening paypal actions as I only use paypal when I buy things from ebay.
one is poofytailcat I bought 11 sealed saturn games from him back on november 5th and just got an email from him last night saying "he's very sorry and he'll be shipping asap" granted I only paid 6 dollars for shipping so I don't expect him to ship it 2-3 day I just hate paying for the item and waiting 2-3 weeks only to find out that the package was never sent another one is kwestone123 I brought 22 saturn imports from him and paid a heafty 30 dollars for Expedited shipping and he said he'd refund the difference if any. Package came yesterday and it only costed him 11 dollars to ship it and conveniently he hasn't refunded the difference or answer any of my messages yet or emails I dont know maybe i'm a hard ass when it comes to ebay but if you can't do fast shipping or your shipping quotes are way off and promise to repay then either suck it up and do the dirty work or don't even bother selling. I sell tons of items and only deal with next day or 2-3 day. I have all the packages ready to go the minute the auctions end and usually by the next day all of them are shipped
I'm in the same situation too. My PayPal account is under my mom's name, but I believe you can change the name SO LONG as you receive permission (written or verbal or something I don't know) from that person and a representative at PayPal receives it. I still haven't done it though..
