There is a one day grey NWC auction on ebay. It was reported on nintendoage that the same # sold or was offered last year on ebay yet this seller claims he found it at a flee market.

Hi guys,

theres a 64DD up on ebay atm, its going in like 6 hours... I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea what the going rate for one of these is? I'm very tempted by this little baby, but I'm unsure how much its actually worth paying for... I'm pretty sure I saw a boxed 2nd hand one online with the RANDnet cart included for ~300.00 GBP, but thats a beyond my meagre means, and by time I can afford it, it might have been sold...

While we're at it, I might aswell ask if anyone has any idea how much a copy of the F-zero DD expansion will set me back?


Any info is much apprciated... I would have asked this in the valuation thread or the marketplace, but I only just noticed the item, and its going so soon...

I'd be wary unless someone here knows the seller as the only form of payment accepted is bank transfer.

For a high value item like this that sets off the scam alarm like nobody's business.

I don't know the seller but I think he is most likely clean and the deal is valid! He is German and has listed it on eBay Germany. Its very common here to only offer bank transfer for eBay payments. Even with all the 59039 PayPal promotions they come up with here nowadays most sellers (and especially buyers) are still very skeptical about PayPal. I would say out of all the German eBay sellers maybe 15-25% accept paypal.

I did not see that he doesnt accept PayPal. I'd be alarmed as well, paying hundreds of euros via bank transfer seems too unsafe to me, definately.
I got ripped off once and you've got no chance to get your money back unless you sue the seller which is a process that can take a year or longer and still it's not sure that you get back your money (if the seller is broken for example).

 

TBH i've heard more horror stories about paypal than any bank transfer. Any transaction can go wrong. I almost exclusively use bank and western union. I trust paypal less than anyone i buy stuff from.
