I got mine through one of them about a week ago - Had to buy a crappy wrestling game and RE4, but the wrestling will be going straight onto ebay after xmas

 

Actually I think that whole shortage is a little over hyped, we have wii's all over the place stacked up in shops.. so no real shortage except for maybe some places that didnt stock enough of them for xmas anyway i'm sure I could get one right now if I wanted to at the normal retail price.

 

Really impossible where I am - they are all on eBay being sold for twice their retail value. It's the 360 launch all over again, but over 1 year after the Wii was released in the UK. Money grabbing eBay sucking cheap-skate profiteering swine!

Even a couple of local retailers are onto the game by selling them at eBay prices in their stores!

 

Tescos where I am have about 200 in stock...as do many of the game retailers...don't see what the fuss is about.

 

No fuss, I don't think me posting 'I can't get one locally and it's been hard to obtain one all year' constitutes a fuss lol :lol:

I'm not going for it, so will leave it to others. The little plate on the back just looks rather dodgy, but as you say it could be authentic. Hard to tell on eBay!

Yep, it's a genuine one.

...@ Parris: It looks 'crude' 'cos it was, it's literally a paint job and a couple of decals.

 

I always thought the case was from a dev or debug kit,but it does make sence the case is painted.

 

Pikkon, strangely enough I was under the same impression considering the software was developed for launch and developers would have been sat at the earlier, dark cased units. Sad to hear it is merely a spray job. h:
