    Oh f**k.
Someone from my city sold a PS2 Devkit and i didn't even notice the auction.
And the price... a new PS2 is more expensive than 112€ around here.

I hope that guy sells some more stuff in the future...

Its just a debugger no "devkit" really. And it didnt even have the sexy TEST letters either.

Eh, who cares about the labeling on the side when the damn thing sold for a mere 112€? That may be the cheapest PS2 debug unit ever sold. Doubly so considering that it was sold in Europe where they tend to go for more than in the US. ;)

Well, if anyone is actually interested you may wish to contact Mattcp who had a pile of PS2 Test units not so long ago. Not sure of region or price, but he is usually reasonable. ;-)

Thanks for pointing that out. But I guess it would have been a nice deal anyways...

I have no doubt that i could find a reasonable priced ps2 tool on assemblergames too, but the shipping costs (and the mail system here) are what i'm really afraid of ;)

Confused now, was it a Tool or a Test on eBay that came up for auction that you missed?

If it was a Tool then of course I understand, it's a heavy item and doesn't appear to travel well. As for a Test, you should contact him as frankly he is reasonably priced and has good shipping too. Good luck!

Not my day, seems like my brain is still in "new years hangover" - mode :p
The item on ebay was a Debugging PS2 ("DTL-H30002S").
So neither a classic Test kit, nor a Tool.

Seems like the "DTL-***S" models are region locked too, which lessens my excitement for that specific kit quite a bit.

I think i'll contact Mattcp and see if we can work out something.

    Thanks for your help Parris.

That is incorrect. They are not region locked.

The debug kit listed on eBay was an S series debug/test unit.

The only difference between the S series and the standard series is that the S series does not have the TEST labeling because it was meant to be used in consumer visible spaces (ie trade shows, demos, etc.).

In reality, the S series debug units are rarer and harder to find than the standard series units so whomever purchased the one off ebay for 112 got one hell of a deal.
