It is used in conjunction with the Xbox Development unit (either DVT3 or DVT4) which are used for producing games titles. Although it does indeed fit inside a PC, it's not a games emulator, it's a DVD emulator. You would run development titles from the accompanying HDD as if it were from the Xbox DVDrom.

Prices have been all over the place recently. Noticed a couple of UK sales for under £100, but then the sellers have both listed the items without sufficient information to be satisfied that they were both full functional or even outputting properly. UK eBay has also taken a bit of a knock over the last few months. It seems to have been fairly quiet. Items you'd expect to see achieve good prices and sell well are slipping through the radar or getting only nibbles rather than firm bites.

    **cough**gas prices**cough**

At this point, I'm starting to be more concerned about the economy and keeping the standard of living I've enjoyed more than the size of my gaming collection. I also expect grocery prices to rise as more corn gets "wasted" on ethanol fuel production. That, and other things related to rising oil prices + no adjustment to most American wages in correlation to the rising prices.

Of course, I can't blame everything on gas. But the world does rely heavily on it :)

we're probably getting close to peak oil

Really that cheap? I would like one for those prices, even if it's just for the cool looks. :)

Had I really wanted one, I could have snapped one up for £50 on UK eBay a couple of weeks ago. It was relisted and sold for about £100. The listing wasn't very good, but I just think people are watching their purse strings at present. The last few I have watched have struggled, but since the 'PayPal' requirement has come in I have noticed this happening more often.
