Just one person with bad luck who unfortunately placed their maximum bid at an insane price, & a zero feedback bidder who bidded $1045.

 

I have yet to see traces of this infamous 15USD auction....

 

Well where have you been looking for it? I dont save all the auctions I see to my harddrive but as I wasnt the only member on the board who saw it, it shouldnt really matter.

or a Gamecube NR Writer that went for 1200 bucks AFTER the firmware was released and you could build one yourself

 

Wait, so someone actually has dumped and released the fw? Wust have missed that one.
While on the subject of NR, has anyone made a method to boot GC NR discs on retail GC/Wii yet?

tempting considering the price, but I'm guessing there is something missing for them to be usable (not counting games )? Don't know that much about the Naomi.

yep it is dumped and somewhere on teh interweb! look close enough and you'll find it. or know the right people or... you know the deal! i don't have it myself (anymore)

 

Don't really need it as I got a NR writer (the tray loading mechanism is broken but the rest still works), but still interesting to know. :thumbsup:

 

The same bloke also has a couple of broken motherboards for $15. Great price if you are able to fix one!

 

As you found the details I shall not repeat them, but the motherboard is not all that is required other than the game. Not far off it though and the motherboards can vary in price. Grab one if you can for a low, low price!
