Same here, especially because he bought it a PR liquidation, I guess he shouldn't have taken pictures of the serial and posted them on xbox scene:banghead:.

Only an idiot would post pictures of the serial on it :noooo: Since quite a few developers check sites like that to see if anythings made it out there that shouldn't have. I'll be surprised if he gives it back like that

If he bought that in a legal liquidation sale then by rights he is the owner, not THQ. The previous owners are in shit, but he isn't. He should fight the toss over that one. The liquidator will have sold it in good faith and there should be receipts etc. He might at the very least get his initial outlay back from them.

"Microsoft Xbox 360 Custom Prototype Controller"

Yep, as you suspected, it isn't anything near an official prototype controller, This guy's friend replaced the D-Pad with a serial connector for joysticks and such, for the price of this, you can surely buy an official prototype controller...

Ah right I see what you mean Parris thanks for clearing that up  I thought Microsoft would have made them return the dev kits etc though considering how stricked they are.

You still in contact with him? If so ask him to let you know how it pans out and whether in fact MS would go to the length of actually prosecution or legal action of any kind. I suspect not.

    lol.

edit: ok, after reading the description it seems that he has modified the controller so he can plug in a Atari Joystick and use it with some Pac-Man game. But still the price is just ridiculous.

Does anyone have links to the gamecube dev auctions that ended a few days ago? I wanted to have a look at what price they ended at but I was away. I noticed the NPDP-SW went for £240, but what about the rest?
