I can't believe that this still hasn't sold. The price is pretty decent for a Terradrive, especially when you consider it's on sale outside Japan.

Yeah but it's missing everything that should go with it, box, keyboard, mouse, software, manauls, plastic strip on the top of the unit... but it does come a free load of rust.... I think most collectors would pay more to get something more complete.

Ironically the Model 2 machine is a nicer machine as it has 2 drives and does have a hard drive interface...

It's the communication card between the DDH and the computer, without it the whole setup is useless. While a "good number" of DDH's have made it into the wild, those that "freed" them so to speak (even in Akklaim's auctions I've heard) usually left the marlin behind in the host computer. Without a Marlin, the DDH is just a giant paperweight.

Why do people insist on using white text instead of the default? IT DOESN'T SHOW UP FOR EVERYONE.

Check with OE's website. I never owned a Marlin (difficult to obtain, hence me pointing the auction out), but the older ORCA boards for the GDEV units had 'ORCA' written on it in bold white lettering. I'd have hoped that would have continued.

Those blue Sega dev units just look the mutts nuts. So much nicer than the polished finish found on a lot of more modern dev kits.

Well went and had a look and didn`t look to have the MARLIN....no seperate boards at all and not inside the machine from what I could see as he opened it up for me

He did say someone from the US had asked about it and he sent him pics of the inside and this guy went mental for it.......but who knows...

He know`s his stuff PC wise, so me thinks that it may be just an expensive paper weight!!!

Got a few of those so another one won`t matter ;-)

Didn't someone mention that the brown little paper box is the Marlin? Did you check what's inside?;-)

The marlin goes inside the host pc, so it would not be in the ddh itself. The little brown box is the box the marlin card shipped in directly from nintendo, so it should be in there. The auction states that it comes with the "Nintendo gamecube comkit" which I took to mean the marlin card. Since you can see it in person, it is best to check it out again. Odd that he would apparently mention it in the listing, but then claim there was nothing else when you looked at it in person.
