Whoever's about to get this TOOL should better read the updated auction text carefully. What alarms me most (besides the neat trick to save ebay fees on shipping :evil is that the seller promises to turn the TOOL into a paperweight before shipping:

Disaster avoided - plus the second HDD was located ;-)

Seems like a decent guy and he is floating around on AG now after he found a certain PDF (cough!)

I think anyone interested in this would be better of contacting him and making offers. Plus, he suggested he might have other hardware coming up as this was part of a bulk deal.
