Looks more like one of the discrete units that games were played on to me (it's got the jumper pack and RAM slots). Could be wrong though.

Yep. it is. I picked this up around 2005-2006 when I was buying all sorts of dev stuff from everyone. Not pictured but also included is the black box that has the controller data channel on it also.

Looked back it was in 2005. I need to update my description

gateway is one player only. Multiplayer options are not supported on the gateway 64SRam is used as a temporary storage media only in the gatway 64 system. The gateway 64 system uses dram as a game program memory rather than the mask rom used in the N64. When a guest finishes the game play, the dram is purged"

here is the link from back in 2005

Dang I had to go to archives to find the original email back in 5/2005 I bought this from steven lashower he is one of the programmers behind COD back then he was working on a atari 400/800 emulator for the PS2

Hey all I will be relisting it soon After looking through stuff found I also had at least one floppy with software that goes too it. Need to gather it up so I can get it all together as one lot. It has been a while since I looked at this stuff.

Here is some information from the disc
    Gateway64 debug system setup

    ----------------------------------------------------------
    Gateway64 Host Setup

    1. Requires Win 95/98 PC with SCSI card.

    2. Requires SCSI cable with a 68-pin wide SCSI end to connect to the Gateway64 engine.

    3. Run the setup.exe from the Gateway64 Host disk.

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    Gateway64 engine setup

    1. The Gateway64 debugger "kit" includes:

1 Gateway64 engine with 4meg expansion RDRAM and 32meg 60ns DRAM SIMM for ROM image.

1 Converter box (converts a hotel in-room controller directly to Gateway64 protocol)

    1 Hotel in-room controller

    1 AC adapter (Nintendo64 type)

    1 Audio/Video cable (Super NES/ Nintendo64 type)

1 RS-485 cable (connects converter box to Gateway64 engine)

1 Gateway64 host program installation disk

    Operating the Gateway64 host program

    1. Converting a Nintendo64 ROM image to Gateway64 ROM image

At the top of the screen, select TOOLS then "Convert N64 to GW64 files". Find you're ROM image then select OK.
*** ROM IMAGE MUST BE MAKEMASKED FOR 6102 CIC ***

Your ROM image will be an input file. Two output files will be made:
    1) information file that is used for security purposes.
    2) Encrypted Gateway64 ROM image (Gateway64 engine decryptes on the fly).

Type in the desired name of the ROM image you would like to see displayed when the game has been loaded.

CIC index should remain at 0 unless you have an optional CIC module (not shipped with your kit).

Select EEPROM (if any) required by the ROM image. If none is required, leave at 4kbit.

Select OK and the program will create a Gateway64 ROM image (*.g64) and information file (*.i64).
**** The *.G64 and *.I64 files must be in the same directory.

Your original Nintendo64 ROM image is no longer required. ****

Ok I wont :)...No... the truth is I actually underprices it. After remembering what it was, the lack there of this system out in the wild and the fact I actually paid alot more for it. Found this out when I reviewed my emails. Thus new listing new price. Also, add to it I have a buyer for around this price said they would buy it if it does not sale on ebay but they just needed some time to raise cash. I will see how it goes.

If anybody wants parts or wants to try to repair it. I have an auction with two PS3 60GB units in it. One powers on but the fan goes high then shuts off. second one never powered one. I started to open them up but never finished trying to fix them.
