Seller doesnt have a BIN price, and for some reason would not sell to me even if i did Bid and win because they do not want to deal with someone outside of the USA.. even though i have a US shipping address!!!

slightly o/t but what would the benefit be of having a test ps2 over a hardmodded one?, would it it worth my while investing in one?

 

There are almost no benefits except from the collecting point of view, on the 'too bad' side: no dvd playback possible and some external retail hardware will maybe not work (network/hdd and such) so if its purely to play games without hustle take a modded retail.

I did read about more RAM but a lower DVD drive speed, but I don't really see that as a good or bad thing as I don't really notice any difference between the retail and test I have.

 

There is another benefit in that certain models have a very useful laser "tweaking" motor. It basically ensures that the correct laser depth is found. Also it allegedly has double the RAM. Apart from that, it has TEST written on it and that is sexy... :love:

My friend already purchased a unit from the seller last week, he had a BIN price, he says he has a few.

I`ve got my h30002 S with dodgy laser and ps2 written on the side, my mate is now flaunting his Test on the side non faulty laser H30001 E unit at my house playing the discs i burned for mine on his system, DAMN HIM TO HELL!!!

I already messaged the US sellers and got the same answer as Festerfly, not willing to ship to UK, have been scammed in the past etc.
