What do you mean? How many were made? Nobody's going to be able to tell you that. I saw them in shops... I didn't tour Europe counting how many there were!

Boots had them and there's a Boots on every high street in the country, but that's not saying every branch had one. I think Rumbelows had them, too. There were 285 Rumbelows stores in the UK - every one I went in around that time (but that's only like 3 or 4) had a SNES and a Jaguar kiosk. Perhaps they had one with a base, though. I remember the Mega Drive ones reset after so many minutes... can't remember if these did, too.

You're missing the television, of course. And the side stickers? And they're extremely similar to the US kiosk, only I don't remember these having a base (the Rumbleows one may have). I'm pretty sure the kiosks Boots had were attached to a shelf. And did they not have those ridged things over the controller necks? And I guess it didn't come with the SNES or the controllers or the controller leads?

Just Google SNES kiosk - you'll see loads of them. Definitely not a prototype.

Those are simular. Still not the same one i am auctioning. Also i am not missing the TV or the Control Deck.
The Package Content list does not list a TV or a Control Deck. The side Stickers are on the kiosk.
I could not find one other piece which is exact the same. Never the less - it very well might not be a prototype - but still - crazy rare.

The only difference is that yours doesn't have the ribbed things over the controller pipes (pretty sure it should), the back bar is very slightly different (most probably regional manufacturing difference) and you don't have the side stickers on it... by which I mean the ones that go either side on the top.

If you look at your instructions, it mentions threading the controller wire through. I'm pretty sure a standard controller wire won't go through that pipe!

The difference is it's different. ;)
Instructions that I went and read say to use the included plastic tie straps and attach to the "neck". Then the hole in the bottom of the unit is where the controller wires come up through.
Free bump, ends in 30 minutes and is over 600US
