Has anyone seen this crossover between a Dakota and Alamo before? Seems odd.

I found the listing earlier this week. Never seen these before. Must be some variant like the clear Dakota.

 

I guess the serial number is low enough, maybe they were still making the change to Dakota style. The 360 "Krypton" has at least 4 or 5 variations with the same name, so anything is possible.

Also, I love the nicknames, General.

My clear dukes are Alamo's.
I'm guessing labels printed at different times.
I've seen that B2 controller before, maybe here on AG or on eBay?

 

You mean the Dakota serial is low enough or the Alamo? Borman has an Alamo with the serial number 000010. So not sure that has much to do with it. I could be way wrong though.

It is a shame the Alamo in the current listing has no breakaway.

 

I meant the Dakota number is relatively low. It probably has nothing to do with it.

Edit: yeah what I was saying doesn't apply, I was thinking of it as a Dakota shell with the Alamo style label. Never mind.

And yes, it's a shame no breakaway for the Alamo in the auction.

That seems to be an Alamo with "Dakota" applied to the sticker.
No notch in green jewel like Alamo's and clear sticks like Alamo.

 

The breakaway connector is also rectangle like the Alamo. I think it is just an Alamo with a Dakota sticker. Unless the insides are different which we will probably never know.

 

Yeah it's probably just an Alamo. The Dakota sticker is different, so it's not a swap. Maybe just a differently printed label as mentioned before.

 

Real Alamo's don't have breakaway cables!! But the ones that do come with the break-away ends are a bitch to find and replace.
