I've never heard of a sealed game without the manual.

I can see the switch going for insane amounts of money on eBay.

 

A sealed game could be used. It could be used as a paddle for ping-pong or a ramp for toy cars. THE POSSIBILITIES.

 

Not sure if this thread is right for this, as it's something I bought, but it's eBay and shameful, so I guess it fits.

This console was listed as "mint condition - not a mark on it"

 

This has been moist at some point. Plus dirty hand sweat crud in the cracks.
The battery contacts are oxidised. Does it even work?
Return for refund!

 

Wow! Yea I would demand a refund, that is absolutely horrible!

I gave it a full test and everything surprisingly seems to work fine, but the battery and SD card slot definitely need changing. I'm trying to get a hefty partial refund on it so that it works out cheap enough for me to clean up, sell on and make a profit.

 

You'll very likely win the case. When things are not as described and you have photos of how you've received it. It will be ruled in your favour.

 

Yet another scumbag who sells roms and freeware emulators, labeled as a genuine release.

 

I didn't realize Burning Rangers was rated E10. Just shows how futuristic it was I guess.

 

They managed to fit three console generations worth of art on that box.

 

on ebay the buyer can get away with anything all cheats (uk ebay)

 

I went and checked out this auction and this is directly pulled from the description:

Maybe look at the description more closely next time. Because its not like this is just a rom disk, he's selling you a completely refurbished system with all the trimmings. Seems like he's just throwing these disks in to get the customer something to play with as soon as they receive the console. It's not that bad, imo.

 

He's selling roms in addition to freeware emulators. Which were and still are released under various fair use agreements. That's not only unethical, but also illegal.
Also, that Sonic adventure disc is also a burn copy. Again illegal.

 

Ok, but that's not what your original issue was. You said he was selling fake games as real games. But he clearly discloses that they are reproduction (burned) games. If you wanna start getting upset about some emulators and roms you might as well start posting all the retropies and other similar things on here. Just a warning though, it will probably be 100 pages worth of postings. No reason to get upset over these old roms that everyone and their mothers download online from Archive or EmuParadise. You can find much better ebay listings to post here, like a guy claiming a Super Mario World cartridge with a missing label is a rare prototype.

 

I never said I'm upset with emulators/roms. Just I dislike those who make profit from them, like he does. Sure, he could had threw in some discs for free in his bundle, but having misleading pictures in order to hook people to think they're some rare release, makes him no really better.
