I remember a guy trying to sell a sealed box of Shockwave Assault for Win95 for like $2k. I dunno about other places but in late 90s game stores in Moscow were simply filled with 2-6 years old EA games for really cheap prices like $1-3, so it's as common as hydrogen in universe.

I still have new and never used copies of Donkey Kong, Metroid 2, Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Land 2 for GB. I asked for those games for birthday, both my friend and uncle got them for me, so i got 2 copies of each game, one played, one never opened since. Maybe i should sell those games for $ over 9000 each ? :D

P.S. About that Biohazard's Collector Box. A friend of mine from France got it for less than 200 euro :D

I had never heard of the VGA before this topic but it seems very laughable. $20k for a copy of one of the best selling games for the NES? OH BUT ITS SEALED! Big deal.

18 million copies. I'm sure there are thousands of sealed boxes still out there.

How many of the SMB3 copies were sold as a bundle? NES Challenge Set included it later.

Who knows? But even if only 10% of the game were sold as boxed copies, the price for a sealed copy would still be ludicrous.

    1,800,000 boxed copies
Let's say there are still 1% sealed copies left in the world, maybe.
    18,000 sealed copies

A game like Shinrei Jusatsushi Taroumaru, sought-after, famous, awesome, had a print-run of a rumoured 5000 units. If 1% is still sealed, that's 50 copies. Its sealed price is around $500-750

    18,000 copy game: $10,000
    50 copy game: $500-750

And it's not as if Taroumaru was a super-obscure game that only 1 person in the world cares about. It's just that these VGA sellers and NES-sealed-collectors in general are full of fuck and should pull their heads out of their asses before they spend all their income on sealed shovelware garbage.

    ave over and out. -__-

^ and still charges you for shipping after you pay that price?

You know, we could all take advantage of VGA- get boxed games that they say cost $9000, then list 'em for much less. I'm betting some moron would buy it with the impression it's a good deal.

What makes me wonder is why those sellers choose prices as idiotic as $1300 for their rated consoles. Do they ever sell anything???
Wouldn't it be more profitable if they set the price at $400 or something, that would cover $100 acquisition, $100 grading and still yields a massive 100% profit? But no, they want $1300. What the fuck?

They're all on eBay, no need for a small, yet similar thread.
