Dang, is my eyes failing me or the pictures are just that small? Could really tell on my mobile phone.

The picture seems pretty decently sized, and I'd assume the other two are bigger when you click on them (like eBay does)

The pictures just show some very common games + a SNES with an RF Box, AC Adapter, and poorly-wrapped controller.

This one might be worth keeping an eye on! Yes it looks in good condition but how difficult would it be to include an actual n64? They aren't exactly rare!

What would you rather? Buy an empty box, pay £3 shipping, put a Nintendo 64 in it that you probably have or could get locally.... or buy the whole thing for a far higher price, then pay probably £8-12 shipping? I think it's sensible. The seller has clearly listed it as an empty box at a reasonable start price.

Don't forget, some consoles (I don't think the Nintendo 64, though) had the serial number on the box.

The GoldenEye slip is quite rare, too. I swear there was a second one that flapped open. With a gold controller, I think. Now that one NEVER shows up!

I want to say the US had a gold GoldenEye controller, and maybe it was bundled. Was it from a certain retailer?

As long as he's saying he's selling a box, sure. That's a pretty well taken care of box.

I think the US one was Toys 'r' Us. This was definitely PAL in the UK, though.

To be fair, although £15 is a kinda high price to start a box, it escalated through bids.

Yeah more the point that the price had started high, and looked to be escalating. And no n64 included with it.

There's no gold controller with this one so yeah you could transplant any old n64 into it I suppose.

Pretty sure the seller has to honour the sale in that case. I don't think you can force the guy to sell them to you but you can at least get a neg put on their account.

One seller was for Mario Sunshine without instructions ended for a total of £2.23 with shipping, I was refunded for this.

The other was Golden Axe complete on Master System, including postage it was £3.99 anyway but he has not refunded me for this yet but said he's not selling for that price :/

I also never knew a seller can cancel auction after someone had won it. I had put in a low bid for pretty new looking complete controller set of Stell Battalion. No later than 5 minutes after receiving an email alert from Ebay that I won the auction for around $175, I get another email alert that the seller had cancel it. That was before I had a chance to pay for it.

I removed your links - as per the first post, please don't post links in this thread.

Also, you've missed the point of this thread. It's solely to post pictures of listings that are comical - either a high price, a poor condition item, a misleading item... or something like that.

As for your predicament, raise a case with eBay. State that the seller refuses to sell for the final price, for which you won the item. That'll be a strike against them.

Seller can "cancel" the auction as eBay can't force seller to honor anything. But since you paid, the seller is at your mercy. If the seller tries to send cancel request, refuse it and seller will have to eat listing fee or lose selling privilege. AND you can leave neg "Paid quickly, seller refused to ship, claims error" Get a few negs and the seller's rating will go down, their listing will get less visible (ie in Best Match sorting, poor seller ends up last while good seller gets higher up), higher FVF to pay, etc.

I would imagine it would be "the item is no longer available because...." rather than a cancellation, technically. You can't do much about that. If the seller tries to say you cancelled to avoid fees, then yes, complain to eBay.

Bad feedback is worse than that - when your seller rating gets below a certain level (and that can be purely based on the stars system rather than feedback), you'll be restricted on how much you can sell.
