Anyway seller is either a "I smoke ten cartons a day" kind of guy or this was left out in the rain for a few years. I'm sure some heavy use of retro bright will fix it but you could save money just buying one in better shape at that point.

Just spotted this, breaks my heart to see pirates ripping off a fan's hard work. The description of the item is "New reproduction with case and manual rare to find fantastic game".

 

paying that much to get a week earlier...

This is why people need to wake up and realize that not everything Nintendo-related is worth a million bucks.

Scalpers and scammers need to go away and never return to this industry.

 

It's the law of the jungle sadly, if there is an idiot to be exploited then they will be exploited.

But yeah the few fools who pay hundreds for anything retro has pretty much ruined the fun of collecting for old consoles, now everyone on eBay expects an arm and a leg for anything gaming related..

Seller must think they are component cable.

 

It must worth a lot of money, because it has Japanese written on it.

 

That must be a very expensive vinyl sticker.

 

Probably the seller is out of stock but using dirty trick to prevent the listing from ending by jacking the price up. If someone buys it, the seller can just buy off another cheaper seller and send it.

IMO it's pointless, listing is free in most categories, sellers are charged only when item sells.

It's a fake so it isn't worth anything. This seller has completely lost their mind.

 

Too bad eBay has become a shithole for game shopping now. It's hard to sort through all the bullshit mostly.

It really is. I've considered giving up finding stuff on eBay but I have found some good deals.

I got an untested US SNES for $40 and it works fine. They normally go for $80+ in similar condition. I also got a official PAL Dreamcast controller in brand new condition for $12, about $20 cheaper than American controllers in brand new condition. But my ultimate score (so far) is my Sega CD Model 1. Paid $62 for it in untested condition with mounting plate and screw. $15 later, it works almost perfectly (needs new battery). Those normally go for $160-$400.

I just saw that on ebay and thought of this thread. It's possible that English is not the sellers' native language. However, if you feel you have a $5000 item on your hands, you get a little help writing the description.

Even as a fake auction, put a little effort into the writing.
