A Store Kiosk, Beta, Prototype... that's quite a lot of things bundled into one.

Sent the guy a message telling him that I didn't think it was a rare controller and the mod for the rumblepak is actually a simple thing.

He then sends me a pic of the lot he bought where he acquired the rare controllers that are now for sale for $5,000.00

He did score on the NFR games... but I think it went to his head a bit.

It's one thing to confront an eBay creep, it's another to have him verify himself as such. Lol

Buy it and then return a box of dirty underwear for a full refund. Sure, it's a $6,000 gamble, but the story would be priceless. ;)

Poor guy, just learned how the new ebay works now. They really have trouble controlling bad buyers.

I am replying to this really late but I do believe that the controller came from a kiosk. My father worked for Babbages (now Gamestop) in the late 90s. Every time they would change out the NFR carts/accessories he would bring me home the previous one. He had given me one of these same controllers but a grey one. I still have it. I doubt it is a prototype of any kind its probably just a mod like everyones mentioned that was done by nintendo or a kiosk manufacturer. It doesnt take batteries and is likely glued together. It is an extremely clean job though. The cable on mine has a cut in it and I cant open it to fix it because of the screws under the rumble pack.

Definately not worth anything near his asking price in my opinion though.
