just a quick question, iv found a listing with no leads/info apart from not tested...... although I could swear its the same colour as a NR-reader is it? or is the flash very bright (suggesting its black)?
Looks the part to me But it's probably listed as untested because the seller couldn't get it to work with retail games, you know how ppl can be dodgy and use untested as an excuse, well to me this could be a prime example.
Well as long as it doesn't run to too much (which it shouldn't do due to it's dubious functionality) I will buy it. Should give me practice gutting the things if it does turn out to be D.O.A
hehe I don't mean it will be DOA, I mean maybe it's a fully functional NR reader, but because the seller thinks it's a retail unit and it isn't booting any retail games they're selling it knowing it won't play retail stuff but listing it 'as is' to cover their ass

I have, obviously not going to disclose it, I don't mind a fair fight on ebay. I would be careful though, looking through her feedback, she does use stock photo's for a lot of her auctions, so it may be a "normal" gamecube, but a stock photo of an NR reader.

I know, but think of it this way, at least we were honest about it, rather than sniping you at the last second. My need for an NR reader is very high, I don't feel good about doing it though...
Should have just said "been offered" any ideas..........mind you I haven`t found it...but not life threatning as have PAL + NTSC versions :boobies2
Well I won it without any competition, I didn't stick that much on it as the roof has just started leaking again, turns out when we bought a "new roof" we only bought up to a certain point, so they left all the water soaked material below that point. Which is now making more splashy puddles on (funnily enough) my NR disks and loads of GameCube games... fucking twat bastard commie... well... capitalist wankers... I have my doubts as to the sellers authenticity/honesty, but should find out if it's really an NR reader sometime next week.
Well, we shall see next week hopefully if it was really a lucky buy for me, or a lucky escape for you! Even if it's a normal cube, as long as it works, I can put it to good use, just need to buy some cheap power/TV leads from GameStation.
