Yeah, she said the same thing to me, but my luck has never been that good, 4 minutes before the auction ended water started pouring from the ceiling above my desk onto all my GameCube games...

Cheers fella, once it's here and I have tested it, I will get back to you with what I need! ;)

No, she hasn't even cashed the cheque yet, I sent her a message, but she has yet to reply.

  7. Is it this NR Reader you are talking about on Ebay UK?

MOD: Please stop with the ebay links outside the ebay thread

The seller has taken a picture of the NR Reader badge. Is it Pal or NTSC, how can you tell?!

    No, different seller.

The seller said she posted my "cube" yesterday, so it should arrive today/tomorrow hopefully. £8 postage better be 1st class, I can tell you!

I am hoping it arrive in time for the other auction above, if this one isn't an NR reader, I will bid on the one above.

Haha, I laugh at your feeble powers!

I have no money until Wednesday anyway, so have to do some budgeting first, and may have to do a "cheque is in the post" thing so there is enough delay between posting and cashing the cheque for it to clear...

    gamesenthusiast:

We have all seen the auction now, thanks for pointing it out so many times.

Well good news and bad news:

    1) It is an NR Reader

    2) It is PAL

    3) The seal is intact

    4) The case is gouged to hell

    5) It doesn't read *any* disks

Anyone know if I can rip the daughterboard out of the laser assembly and stick it in a retail one and make that an NR reader?

Also, the BIOS is different to a normal cube, and it appears to have its own region format for memory cards, my PAL format cards come up "corrupt" same as if you formatted it in a different region Cube.

  16. Yes, although your daughterboard may already be knackered.

Thats not right. An NR save is the the same as a retail save, I would guess there's a 'serious' problem if it's created corrupt saves as it shouldn't do that.

Hmm... thats what I suspected... I will rip the thing open now and have a poke around.

I didn't get as far as creating saves, I just tried accessing the memory card, it said it was not formatted (which it was).

  18. ...I hope it was cheap?
