No idea. Those organisations can be very busy. Did you go straight to the local one? That's your best bet.

I guess phoning them would be best, but that could prove expensive for you. You need to know someone local, really.

Did you send a recorded delivery letter as suggested? That's a good idea.

In case you don't know, recorded delivery means it requires a signature (you can prove he received it).

 

Just got the mail yesterday. And already have a reply from the seller, received it today only hours after sending him mail letting him know about trading standards know about this all.

He told me he will send a 60gb console which I wanted in first place.

Lets wait and see. Again...

 

Ther are different kinds of 60Gb though - you sure you will get the launch 60Gb with PS2 compatability? Ask him to confirm the CECH from the box, but also maybe he is bullshitting you too.

 

Damn I hope this seller has wised up and finally cut the BS. :dammit:



Was this NOS ps3 ntsc launch or a pal launch one?

Pal launch had the same hardware as the CECHE0x ntsc console that first came with in a "Mororstorm 80gb Bundle" here in the states. It has GS chip but no EE. COK-002 motherboard as opposed to ntsc launch COK-001 boards with both chips.

 

This is a PAL one, so software based PS2 emu for me but thats fine. Lets see when it arrives.

Wow, so nothing ever came of this? No PS3 or refund? That sucks so much, can't believe the guy is now back in business too. It's a real shame you never got your money back.

 

I thought the name sounded somewhat familiar. Turns out discount_monkey is the eBay seller I purchased my 160GB PS3 slim from. I didn't have any trouble myself, luckily.

 

I got scammed on a PS3 as well. Waiting from Paypal.

So you never got your money, nothing happened? What is with this? Report him to ebay have you? I would continuously until they actually get off their ass.

 

I didnt get anything from him, no ps3 no money. Now he blocked me from ebay, i couldnt contact him even if i wanted to.

I have reported him to ebay and to Trading Standards, Consumer Direct and the likes but in all honesty, it is nearly impossible for me to travel to the UK and drag him before court just for this.

Only thing I can think of is that some UK site members which are from the same area as he is pay him a visit. I would really appreciate it.
And of course the will be a reward of 100gbp for the one who helps me out of this misery.

and all i can say is beware of this guy, as we can see hexigon got ripped off by the same guy.

 

I think a few sellers are scamming with PS3s, I got mine from a different seller, but they could either be the same company or international friends.. As far fetched that sounds, it's possible.

Did you get a reply off eBay or anywhere else you reported him?
