Wasn't there a thread for it? Anyway here's one; *Britpop95 Scammed out of over 90 euro. Thankfully, got it back today via paypal, because he never send anything and sold the item to someone else. Beware.
you're lucky he didn't get the paypal notice and send you a fake package to just give paypal a tracking number. They close the case then. It's happened to me twice.
anyone knows what is the latest user name of that infamous HK seller who pops up do a bit of good business then dive with the rest of money... ?
I looked into it. The dick wrote the address in barely legible writing...and it still looked like a fake city in Ohio.
Well, if you payed with paypal, wouldnt you need a valid something (account, card) to sign up? Or is that yet another flaw? lol
paypal doesnt care where your/their money comes from, as long as it's there. You can easily open up a dummy account with bank XYZ and confirm the paypal deposits. You can then empty it after your round of scamming. Paypal will then try to recover your money for you and after the deadline, they'll say they're sorry but they could only get $0.00 for you. I prefer to pay via credit card because of the saftey a good card company gives you, which is leaps and bounds over paypal's shitty ass customer service. Anyways, I didn't mean to take over this thread from it's intended purpose.
I keep my Paypal account for eBay at zero balance all the time. If I need to pay someone I move it from my other Paypal account and so on... also that account has no link to either of my c/c nor bank account... I used one of old c/c to activate and since then cancel the card and close the account with the bank... If Paypal want to get the money from my account for what ever reason they are not gonna get it from me since the other account is under different name... (handy when you have couple of legal names to throw around... he he) ok I'm not saying anyone went this extreme but be sensible and don't leave any balance on your Paypal account and make sure it's not linked to your eBay account... p.s. I learnt this hard way from my dealing with eBay... Don't ask.
