    Microsoft has recently started collecting debugs from developers that are no longer working on Xbox games. Many developers are failing to account for all kits and declaring some lost.

    Don't debug and dev kits have a good chunk of change tied to them if you lose one?

    Depends, really. One or two missing from a major developer isn't too much of an issue. Missing your entire stock will turn out to be a problem. I once heard that about 10% of xbox debugs are on the black market, somehow i think the number might be higher.

    EDIT:

    Ain't mine anymore... i'm not paying over 500 for it. Especally since i plan on ripping it to pieces.

    The auction reeks of shilling. Of course, the auction also says that they will only ship to the US, so maybe you can get the seller to cancel the Australian bidder's bids.

    That was kind of my thought too... that's why i never accept a second chance offer.

    The last one of these that sold went for $230... so $550 seems out of this world for a pice of equipment that is barely usefull...

    Maybe he hopes to catch an idiot. ;)

    Then again, lots of people can't admit to taking a loss. It's possible this guy paid close to 1000 to acquire it and the idea of the value dropping just can't get into his head. Hell, we even see that here on Assembler.
