Hi. Yeah, that was one of my TOOL units. I got an email from eBay that says:

Thank you for your recent auction-style listing on eBay. Unfortunately, we removed the following item(s):

    230058921091 - PlayStation2 (PS2) Development TOOL (DTL-T10000H)

The rights owner, Sony Computer Entertainment of America, notified eBay that this listing violates intellectual property rights. When eBay receives a report of this type of violation, we remove the listing to comply with the law.

The following information may help explain the reason for your listing(s) removal:

A manufacturer or intellectual property rights owner has reported to eBay that this posting violates their intellectual property rights in one or more more ways. When eBay is notified by an intellectual property rights owner of an intellectual property rights violation, eBay removes the posting in order to meet certain legal requirements. Please check with the rights owner if you have any questions about their claims. Some possible issues include the following:
? Using a manufacturer's photo or item description
? Posting a counterfeit or "fake" item
? Posting an unauthorized copy of an media (such as software or video games)

We encourage you to contact Sony Computer Entertainment of America directly if you have any questions. You can send an email to:

    piracytaskforce@playstation.sony.com

Your eBay fees for this item have been credited to your account. All bidders on this item have been notified of its cancellation.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Repeated violations of this or other eBay policies may result in the suspension of your account.

I guess that means that it won't be going back on eBay....

Ebay is such a hit and miss. 2 weeks ago a dev tool sold for 2K. This week no bids and it gets pulled. There must be certain times they or sony do a sweep of the system.

I may advertise it here in due course (unless someone wants to make an offer now), but I did have plans for it if it didn't sell, so maybe I'll go do some programming course and actually learn how to use it...

Not to sound mean but from what I saw on bids you were getting ebay may have done you a favor, getting your fees back. I was watching it almost from day one and really found it hard to believe no one bid on it for your price.

I was hoping that if the one the week before sold for $2K, that I could flog this one off, with more accessories etc, for about what I paid for it ($1.1K), and I'd be doing alright.

23 people were watching it when it ended (probablly all from here) and I was hoping for a last minute bidding rush...!!! :crying:

The 2k one was one person. If you look at the bidding he/she jumped it from I believe 1.3K to 2K to meet the reserve. I thought yours with all the accesories would go for around 1.3K or above but not having a single bid did surprise me.

I personally tend not to bid on reserve auctions, and usually avoid those with high starting bids. Always go for those that have a low starting price as then I know that the sale price will end up being a fair market price. :)

...Anyone notice Lingjr's 'continual' TOOL auction, that never gets touched yet it has to be the loudest/biggest/in your face dev advert of its kind!

...Maybe u guys should slip in a bit of Engrish to confuse the scanners :)

I recently won a PS2 Test in the US. The auction on eBay had ended and the seller and I were discussing the best method of payment, exchanged details and I was just about to send payment when the very same message from eBay regarding Sony arrived in my mail box.

Luckily we had swapped email addresses and we just went ahead with the sale (it's now in my collection and works perfectly well), but I was surprised that they went to the bother of pulling an auction AFTER it had finished. So, be warned it's not just a sweep of the current listings, they must check everything. Being paranoid, I also wondered whether to make their task easier they let the auction close & note the buyer for future reference (after all there's a good chance a regular purchaser will lead them directly to future listings).

Seeing as I've inadvertently brought this thread off topic, allow me to bring it back on track. I'm selling a heap of my old Gameboy Advance (GBA) games on eBay:

    http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQsassZsequent_blenderQQhtZ-1

There's a few good ones in there, most never played, so bid away to make up for my TOOL issues...!!!

    Thanks. Dave.

Thieves are working overtime this year. Both my store and my house within a week or two. While no items were taken damage was done and new security measures are required.

I bought this off kaworkharder on ebay in July. Those that have the ability to look back in ebay history may be able to find it. #180009156511. I paid $790.00 but I could use some cash right now.

This won't show up on eBay till 12 noon Friday.
