Almost every single person in my entire family is very religious. I am not making fun of him because of his belief in God. I am making fun of him because I can tell by the way he is rambling that he is not right in the head. Pulling the religious card does not negate any mental imblances that may exist.

I just know that ebestdeals owe me a refund for a beta Nintendo GDEV I've bought from him during 2005.
The item came with a big impact on the front side. Working but very ugly to see. I've asked for a partial refund and he first accepted. He waited eBay to remove the ended auction and then he disappeared. I'm keeping all the mails.
I'd like to met him again...if you know who is he...well let me know.

I know its a long shot, but I'm going to go for the manuals. I really am going to take a crack at writing and releasing some M2 programs.

With my schedule this semester, I have a few free hours on my class days where I was planning on studying for network+ cert. But i think m2 programming would be much more interesting.

Item is NOT mine, but here is an eBay auction worth looking at

Xbox Alpha development tower unit: Item #: 270081428092

    It's available as BIN @ $570.00 <approx £287.00>

If you do go for it and you are in the UK, I purchased one from Canada last year and the P&P to customs in the UK was £50.00. Whilst there is no import duty or tax on PC related items, I was then charged by Royal Mail for it to be released from Customs and delivered to my front door. It cost a total of £400 all in.

However, check with the seller what video card is installed (if it has a GREEN heatsink, it would be the second video card meaning this is an Alpha 1 with the Alpha 2 upgrade). I say this with some confidence as I see a sound card in that casing and that means it IS the Alpha 2 upgraded machine as the Alpha 1 had NO sound! I'd also check to see precisely what is on the HD as the seller has only displayed the initial start-up sequence and not XDK.

The PSU has a switch on it for selecting either 110v or 220-240v and it's just a standard kettle lead for power. You can use a standard Xbox controller on the Alpha, but you will need to obtain a Xbox to USB controller adaptor - I bought a Venom one for £7 that did the job. Audio is a 1/4" jack - so you can even just use your PC speakers.

OE, he has sold three, but it's not the same unit - this is the guy I told you about some time ago re obtaining multiple units. I can vouch for this guy being genuine, however the company he works for do NOT generally sell dev kits and they are not experts. You need to ask them ALL the questions pre sale. ** Update ** okay, crossed lines, never noticed the mention of this particular item being auctioned previously until I re read auction. However, the seller has sold other Alpha units in the past and had no complaints about them.

And again I stress, I am nothing to do with this auction.

However, Atomix traded with him a while ago re a Debug which turned up faulty and he had some hassle obtaining a refund.

Yeah, but the second time he mentioned that the first time there was a non-paying bidder...by his comments at the bottom of the auction page my guess would be that it happend the second time as well. He had sold several other sets to happy buyers, so i guess it is up to interested parties to decide if it is indeed worth bidding on.

It's quite possible that bidders are seeing the rare item, immediately bidding to ensure they get it and only then realising the costs involved (re shipping & potential customs duty or excess on postage).

I'd email him if anyone was interested as I have dealt with him and can vouch for the transaction going smoothly.

Looks like Prog Ace also traded too - he left positive feedback
