So this is what happened: Couple of years ago I paid online to get an EGM subscription just for fun and to relive the good old days of reading gaming magazines. As there was a cheap deal online i paid for a couple of years but I don't remember exactly how many and for how long etc. Now all of a sudden something like a half year ago they stopped sending me EGM's for a while and so I figured my subscription ran out as I have no idea when it should. Anyway a couple of months later I start receiving the magazine Maxim?? I have not paid nor asked for this magazine. I can't imagin somebody else paid for me, and I didn't see any money gone from my paypal/credit cards and whatnot as a joke.. as I became paranoid. So I have no idea what happened here? anybody else with the same experiance? has EGM shut down and the company mailing me the magazine choose a new magazine for me to compensate? I have now already received like 4 of these magazines the last 4 months and I have no idea why, besides some nice shots of almost naked girls I don't really care for this magazine as it's full of advertising and american football thingy's which don't interest me. But ah well any magazine that is free and kills my time while taking a dump is fine with me, just curious if others have the same thing or can explain to me why I am receiving this?
EGM is gone,so they send you something else. I had a lifetime subscription to electronic games. I received so far about 6 different magazines as each went under. I currently get GQ....hell of a long way to go from EG
Great that explains everything, would be nice if they send you an heads up tho.. and not to forget let you choose something else OR at least send you a related game/gadgets/tech magazine or whatever. I mean Maxim/GQ, is there somebody there thinking hmm these game nerds should like half naked chicks let's send him magazine x.. If I want to see nakes chicks I can just zap to tv commercials here in Holland and I will see tities in shampoo ads, while in Maxim at most they are in their underwear lol. and those buffed up american football players and verizon wireless ads to get wallpapers on my mobile dont interest me.
I probably don't remember or recall it as it has been a while ago.. sad to see it go then it was fun to read. Still got edge magazine but it's expensive.
When I was getting the Dreamcast magazine they went and sent me PSN when it ended. I really wanted to get OXM. as of today I have every OXM/OXM demo disc there is.
