Gigadrive - supposed follow up to Megadrive, 32bit, producing perfect home versions of Super Monaco and others of the time.

It's funny how the arcade to home ethos was core to videogaming back then.

Atari was originally planning on coming out with a 10-bit system as the 2600 successor. However, this didn't pan out and they introduced the 5200 instead.

never heard of this april joke, but it indeed sucks. :(

anyway, there's some collectors out here with some plastic cases of that 32x/gen combo, i don't know if there's something inside, tough.

what about that other 32bit console from sega that could be added to the genesis/cd/32x to make a super machine?

You had to wait until school was out to ask the internet a question without providing your own research?

Sega never showed anything, but it is generally known that Sega was working on a Dreamcast 2 console to counter PlayStation 2, and Xbox/Dolphin later on, through interviews with people such as Yuji Naka.

Dreamcast 2 was supposed to have a new Hitachi CPU (UH1?), but I am sure some might know more about it. I think Sega thought about a 2002 - 2003 releasedate...

There's supposedly an Indrema prototype - can anyone confirm this? One of the developers said something about a prototype locked up in his attic.
