Listen to this. This guy from Fontana was handing out demos of Critical Bill from their new album Downtown the World. I guess it dropped sometime last week. They sound like Linkin Park so if you like that type of music like I do, then you should check them out: http:///www.myspace.com/criticalbillmusic do you like them too or is it just me?
I don't think they sound like Linkin Park, but anyways a better band are on tour with them called 'Band With No Name'. [EDIT] No longer on tour http://www.myspace.com/e78 <--- Listen to 'Animal Like' Critical Bill had a battle of the bands style competition to see who would tour with them, but the voting system was shit and only depended on how many fans you had on the night. BWNN lost out, but Critical Bill invited them back
its just you ^^ boring and repetitive as f*ck and about 10 year outdated soundwise IMO also... this pic is totally gay xD
There really not that great.I would say there stuck in the same loop as alot of bands are today, meaning they cant right good songs.
I think the guys on either end are clones, if you shave off the one on the rights moustache and give him a hat he`s the one on the left. :icon_bigg
Frankly the image doesn't "attract" me to the band. Some promotional stuff works in reverse and this is one such occassion, however I shall follow the link (despite my better judgement).
I think the first band is horrible and the second is okay, but they both have very predictable composition styles. Maybe I just don't like standard rock anymore - I usually go for metal if it's "harder" music. Since I'm here and posting, I may as well throw out a few of my favorites. I don't know if I'd put any of them under the rock category, though. Circa Survive - http://www.myspace.com/circasurvive - listen to either of the last two songs, which are from their first release. Their new CD is good, but the first is a masterpiece. Between the Buried and Me - http://www.myspace.com/betweentheburiedandmeband - Listen to "Sun of Nothing." It's their best song up there, with the possible exception of Mordecai, which doesn't work anyway. You have to listen to the whole song or you'll miss out. edit: Upon further inspection, they have a song from their first album up there ("What we have become"). If you dig metal then that's a song to listen to. Their first CD was brilliant. I'd add more, but I just woke up and I'm too lazy. @Parris - I find that I usually tend to avoid bands with an image to uphold. To me it shows that they're more focused on marketing and looking pretty for the fans than writing decent music.
Nah its not for me although i do like the insane guitar solos in there first video dont know if any off you know a band called minor threat gorilla biscuits or bad brains i really like them at the moment :020:
Dragonforce... Great band, but it's rumored they're not too good in live concerts (what it's not so strange, maybe they just can't stand with the speed of most of the songs). Anyway, you guys have to check this vid out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSNLfa1VPwo
Yeah, if you leave out the corny vocals. Seriously, I don't understand why anybody in their right mind would listen to powermetal, the lyrics are extremely cringeable. Imho.
I've heard that, too. Which is kinda sad since some of there songs are insane. I hear there's going to be a Dragonforce song in Guitar Hero III.... haha, they have some of the best lyrics! For example: On the wings of death by the hands of doom By the darkest light from the darkest moon Crossing silent seas over mountains high For we stand as one tonight EPIC!! or how about this tasty lick? On the wings of eagles flying staring on to the sun Reaching for the gold horizon when the war shall be won Can you see the debauchery and the blade of death that has come for thee In winds of torment forever more you will cry for just... One more time to escape from all this madness... POETRY!! They're just fun to listen to. :icon_bigg
Yeah, I'm sorry, normally I'd feel pretty bad about slagging off somebody's taste of music. Actually I haven't heard much DF at all, it's just powermetal in general (though mainly Rhapsody) that I can't stand. Admittedly, even Rhapsody has some pretty good guitar pieces, it's just the lyrics about emeral swords and angels and demons and whatever...
