Im starting to make a collection and how many were made and the names i would be extremely grateful for, wikipedia i have checked doesnt have a number.
You could also try : http://www.satakore.com/ Click the games database link on the upper left and if you change the search pattern to "Europe/ALL" it should give you a list of a few hundred PAL titles along with matching serials MrS
The following link provides a full PAL list and also splits the list into groups based on how much you should expect to pay for each game. http://www.segasaturn.co.uk/games/sega_saturn_pal_guide.html
Wow, did In The Hunt really get a PAL release? I've never even heard about a PAL version! And is PAL Guardian Heroes really less rare than Night Warriors or Lost Vikings 2? I highly doubt it!
guardian heroes is expensive, not rare at all. check ebay with a "european location" search, you'll find tons of it every week.
240 games, of which one was only released in French and Spanish. Plus the Photo CD Operating System. Plus variants of the games (different cases, different artwork, bundles with a gun/analogue pad, language variations etc.). We just had a conversation about this elsewhere on the forum, probably in the Saturn thread ;-) The segasaturn.co.uk list should be taken with a very large pinch of salt. Firstly, they seem to think that price sold for on eBay determines rarity. Umm, NO! Secondly, their price estimates are way off in some cases. The problem with having such a list is that you have to maintain and update it, which they don't seem to be doing. It was off in the first place, anyway ;-) I still have the saturn-planet stock and will be selling a lot of it off. So if you want anything, watch this space! (Well, my for sale thread :110. I can sort you out with anything from a bunch of common fillers to the rarest games like Jewels of the Oracle and Dragon Ball Z. I see far more Guardian Heroes than Night Warriors or Lost Vikings 2. In the Hunt was released in all regions (well, Europe/US/Japan, anyway!).
Both of which are super common in Japan and both equally shit. I always wondered why Bandai released that unplayable mess of a "3D" Dragonball game in the west over their 2D SFC style game which is actually pretty good. The mind boggles! Yakumo
You didn't like JOTO? For a point-and-click game, it was quite good. I guess you're not a fan of the Myst series, then?
I'd like to plug my site for once; http://www.segadatabase.net/sdbsearch.php No, it's not complete but at least it should give you an idea.
¿How can you know the % of rarity? ¿It's for your own experience or most people experience? (Notice I see some very accurate in the list). ¿Are you going to add games with lenguage variations to the list? I saw Marvel Super Heroes French/Ger %70, and maybe SPA/ITA is the rarest version of this game.
Indeed, the same as the rarity listed everywhere else; experience. I've been collecting since 1997 and in the 'scene' since 1990. I'm listing variations. Just haven't entered them all in the database yet.
To be honest your rarity list is near to 'in my mind' rarity list, this is the reason of my question. Since 1997... a lot of time, I started at 2003. Good to hear that, rarity can be higher in specific versions of the game, and I think that must be known for collectors.
Mm yeah, I noticed that as the first game isn't on the list - 3D Lemmings ;-) Oh, and where's Nights?!?! Oh yeah, I didn't include Christmas Nights in that game count, heh.
