when I was 16 went on holiday to florida and bought a cheesy t-shirt with a monkey head in a space helmet with "space monkey" written underneath it. At the same time my friends and I were going through a phase of changing words with "ee" sounds to "oi"'s, "monoi" instead of "money" for example. Thus space_monkoi, plus i needed a replacement for my old nick "riccorullz" cause well, it was crap.
Well... The "Wangan" is a stretch of toll highway around Tokyo, very popular place to street race and it's generally where the big shops test out their cars (Top Secret, RiDoX, Esprit, Mine's, AutoEXE, etc...). So "WanganRunner" is just someone who races on the Wangan, I suppose. I use this name on pretty much every forum I'm on.
Mine was written in a birthday card ages ago by a friend (yeah, my name is Cris(sy) and I'm a boy)! Sadly it stuck and even my 2 & 4 year old daughters call me it I didnt expect that any other people would use the same user name as me but I did a Google search a couple of months ago & discovered some person on a hacker type board has used it!! Cheeky bugger!
ZOMBIE THREAD'S GUTS FEEL RAPED! How dare you? Anyway, as for the question: I have no idea, really. It's actually an abbreviation for "aventus" which doesn't mean anything either, regardless of the language.
My nickname came from when I was a school kid. All of us gave one another nicknames to be cool (or not as the case may be). When we all meet up we still use those same nicknames some 25 years later, much to the amusement of our wives and girlfriends who've also adopted the use of them now. I got mine from a character in "The Crucible" who's name was Samuel Parris. He was a minister. I was a ministers son. My mates thought it was funny and it stuck! Mine's not the worst. My best mate has had to endure "Goober" from "Goober and the ghost chasers" for quarter of a century.
It's my name. Some people may think that's risky or something... but I don't think many people would be able to figure it out super easy. In games I use "Synok", some name I made up for DnD when I was 12, Baar which is just an awesome name, or "BoomStick!" (original, right?) for FPS.
And there I thought it was a greeting, anybody had Latin at school? ------------ How I came up with alphagamer: I used to be a game tester and I like unfinished stuff.
Well...on MANY things on the internet you can find me as Flodder450 the name Flodder450 is coming from way back in 2006,when i was first playing Runescape,i liked the dutch tv-series "Flodder" at the time, still getting funny remarks about the girl from that series :wall: when i was first registering for this forum,i choose Flodder450,but it got rejectet, then,i choose N64Gamer,because i love gaming in general and the N64 specificaly
When I first tried to register as alphagamer it got rejected, but tried again and voilà . Moral of the story: be persistent!
When i tried to register as "dogus" which is my real name, it was also rejected. Tried again and again. It was denied after each try. And then i chose its translation in Latin.
I use 3do on here because at the time of signing up i was really getting into the original 3do as well as the big obsession with the m2 i had and this being a gaming forum i thought of using the name 3do which surprisingly was available . Most of the time though i use the name darklighthim as my username around the interwebs. That name came about when signing up for the band HIM's heartagram.com forum roughly around the time their album darklight was about to come out and i somehow took the album/band name and came up with Darklighthim which i really liked and its stuck ever since as my preferred username on most sites.
