Now, this may sound weird but some of our sigs have hilarious stories behind them, Such as AWS sig "Ya ran me down".

The story of my sig is " I played Tales of phantasia, and thought Dhaos was teh coolest, so I made a sig of him killing cless over and over while owned appears at the end. I used a flashing OWNED because I think it looks better, and the words dhaos gif on google is to promote my gif that I slaved to make, and now its number 3 on google."

Killzone, of the most hyped PS2 games. Sony promoted as a Halo Killer. Never believed on it.

Ended up as a good game, with pretty graphics, lame animation, and the worst A.I. of all time. :smt045

But i like the art design, so...

Mine is easy. I have 7 Megadrives in my collection...various models...and everyone knows the "All your base..." quote....So I combined the two...and the rest, as they say, is history :smt023

The thing is though, I don't even like the Megadrive that much ¬_¬

  4. After hearing slavering hordes of Half-Life 2 fanboys drool on and on about how the game is going to be so awesome and absolutely kill Doom 3, and blah blah blah, I was surprised by how mundane the Source engine turned out to be and set out to ridicule it in the best way I know how.

This was in turn inspired by Tachikoma lashing out at a similarly over-hyped game of recent release.

If anyone out there recognized that my shitty Photoshop skills were supposed to make Gordon Freeman look teary-eyed, please say so. I'd like to know how bad I suck.

As explained by GSL, it's simply a dig at the hype over Halo2. It was a 2 minute photoshop, so im well aware it's really really bad!

mine's a bit of an odd story to those who don't know me in person. What it comes down to, I somehow enjoy using archaic words and baroque constructs in my daily speech. Then one day the Random Surrealism Generator spat something at me containing the word "sesquipedalian", which I did not know. So I grabbed my father's Oxford English Dictionary Micro Edition off the shelf and <drum roll> it turns out a "sesquipedalianist" is "somebody who uses long words" :smt043 :smt043
Apart from that, I took a browse through the book and by accident came upon the word "to lurcate" which means "to eat ravenously". I'm not addicted to eating or anything, but for reasons that are too weird to explain I quite like the word. So basically "Lurcating Sesquipedalianist", apart from being a parody of itself, means "a ravenously eating person who uses long words" :smt082

I think Halo 2 needs to be put on gamespy's most overrated game EVER. Even beating out MGS2. Oh, I also got MGS3 yesterday...Now that looks promising...I hope.

ahh.....so this is why it looked so much like the matrix. :-D

i agree with you for halo 2, the earth will never be the same my ass! sure, its a fun game...but to say it revolutionize anything and/or its the greatest game ever upset me. I've played MGS3 demo ...with japanese language and english text , and i must say it look pretty coll from what i've seen. but im a little bit tired of the ''?'' , ''!'' , floating boxes and all this from the metal gear serie.... it's ok for the 32 bit era, but they could've tried to change ....no, evolve a bit on this. i know it represent a bit of the manga style, but when you look at splinter cell (wich i don't love so much by the way (metal gear rule :smt045 ) ,but still, its metal gear's enemy.) , you can wonder why konami didn't tried to inovate more.

    aren't you like 13?!

    Edit:

As for the signification of my sign, well.... you already know its because i love the matrix and i think those lines said at the end resume pretty well the entire trilogy on a degree. Purpose , choices ,liberty, actions and consequances, control, love, truth , society, reasons, belief, destiny, humanity.

And likely the coolest sig on this site.
    Well done.

Yeah, you gotta love old people. I was taking a dump in a hotel lobby where I was a valet one morning. Some old fart cowboy walked in with his buddy, took one look in the mirror, and said [in a deep, Texas accent] "Well shit... Ma hair's in disarray!". Never heard that before.

    Awful...just awful.

Mine? Uh, well, Assembler told me that a Victormaxx Stuntmaster HMD is like looking at a Game Gear screen from three inches away. Well, I stumbled across one one day, and he was right, and that was what I said.

  20. Holy shit, you didn't get fired for that? If I'd have known you could get away with things like that, I would have shat every day in the lobby of the hotel where I worked this past summer! :smt023 ;-)
