Is there an alternative to i-Tunes for sending video and music to the i-phone 3GS? i-Tunes is just wayyyyyyyy tooooo slooooowwww. It takes forever to boot then takes forever to send files over to the phone and takes forever to bloody sync anything. Why is this software so bloody slow! It's pure shit at best. I do have another program for taking photos from the i-phone because i-Tunes saves them as some stupid retarded format with all pictures in one file plus makes endless back ups on my hard drive which I don't want. The problem is that I paid for the replacement software and don't really feel like paying again for a good video transfer tool. Are there any good free ware ones out there? Yakumo
I use CopyTrans Manager for transfering song and movies to my Ipod Touch, it's free and the best thing is that it let you sync your device from everywhere, not just from the computer that has the Itunes Library that is linked to your device. http://www.copytrans.net/
I hate Itunes. I remember my dad had it installed in my old computer so I could "manage" my mp3 lists for my 500 mega shitty MP3 (which was NOT an IPOD) and it took forever to boot and load the songs. The only thing it was good for was for converting CD songs to MP3 in a time in which I didn't have free internet. But MusicMatch Juckebox or sth like that was good. I don't know if it will help you with your problem though
It's Apple software, that's what No really, my PC is fine. Somehing heavy like Photoshop will load in a few seconds but i-Tunes takes about 40. I am running it on XP Pro if that has anythingto do with it. Sojiroh, I'm going to give CopyTrans Manager a try. Sound ideal! THanks
I don't think Apple really puts the same effort into their PC version as the OSX version. Understandable. but also considering how EVERYBODY has an iPod or similar, and statistically everyone seems to have a PC... I just wish I could install Quicktime without having to install iTunes simultaneously. Maybe they changed that... and also that it wasn't the 'standard' for many podcasts, forcing me to boot up OSX to find/listen to them.
People still listen to "podcasts"? But I remember a nice piece of software called Quicktime Alternative that worked better than Quicktime. And as for the original topic, yes, iTunes is shit, as has been mentioned countless times, and I hate how Apple doesn't let you just drag and drop songs to iPods.
I'm pretty sure that Songbird and Winamp have iPhone support. IMO Songbird is more stable than Winamp, but it has also longer loading times.
It could have something to do with what alecjahn said It was much slower on my Windows machine but once it loaded, the synced everything just fine. Well I sync my iPhone with a Mac now and iTunes loads really fast on it
Quictime Alternative is still in active development , and that goes too, to Real alternative and Klite codec pack . And all those codec packs derived from the old kazaa lite forum (hence the name Klite codec pack) http://codecguide.com/index.html
Winamp has an iPod plugin which I would assume works with the iPhone too since they're basically the same. I would try that out since Winamp has such a small footprint resource wise.
Well.. Having an unlimited supply of the iTunes Store, I can't complain... ( Thank you exploitable iTunes. )
