    why would someone be interested in tapes? you can buy 1 terabyte discs really cheap now and wouldn't have to pay a lot for shipping... can someone explain me what is the advantage of using tapes nowaday?

    not to bash your sale i mean! i just trying to figure it out.

    Show me a "cheap" 1TB medium that doesn't involve tape/hard drives... seriously!

    People are interested because it's a proven medium, and most importantly companies don't want to reinstall an entire new infrastructure just because something new comes out.

    Tapes are generally more reliable than hard drives and just as fast nowadays.
