    Hi,

i finished modding my fat ps3 ceramic white.
(RSX/CELL CECHH) On water 40-45° on load with white LEDs.
I had some problems during the mod, but i like the finish.
On the back i have a quick connect system from Koolance.
Alphacool cooler with aquacomputer Aquaduct 240 230V and Mayhems Pastel - Ice White.

Very clean and professional. Is that a japanese PS3? I really like it, it's a shame there aren't more colors for the PS3 and the 360 easily available.

Yes, the CHECHH in ceramic white was japan only. For me the best looking PS3 version. The ps4 looks really dark behind.

Thanks, i also keep the PS3 fan inside. There only some modifications on the MB plate and the fan for the coolers.
So RAM, voltage converter and PSU are cooled also. Try my best to cool the FAT down as possible, but also keep it silent.

Such an awesome mod. I love it. I have a ceramic white FAT PS3 and I think it's the nicest looking PS3. The TOOL and the 20GB PS3 are also my favorite.

    Thank you for sharing.

Very nice. I was considering doing something similar with an original Xbox 360 and a Zalman Reserator back in the day.

That looks very neat and awesome. It's sad what we have to go through to keep our old Phat, Backwards Compatible, PS3's cool. I finally gave up after three 60gb YLODing on me and settled for a super slim which runs cooler. Still, I'd give anything for my BC 60gb PS3 to last forever :(

    At least yours will :)

    Thanks for sharing!

I cant downgrade it. Maybe a preflashed board will be a solution.

Clean look. Although I wish there were more matte console colors. Would love a PS3 that looked like the matte finish of a Dreamcast/PCengine. Is that a custom waterblock?

You mean the water tower? It from Aquacomputer, the block is from alphacool.

I finished my mod with a V6 rog flashed board. Fits perfect in that case.

what are those gold things on the motherboard? heatsinks? do you put them ontop of the thermal pads?

what are all the parts for the water cooling mod, where can
I buy them and how much will it all cost?

So you don't get YLOD (so the non lead solder in the BGA does not melt on the CPU and GPU. It would need to be reflowed because of dried out thermal paste after years of use, a crappy thought out fan priority of less noise over actual cooling. PS3s get up to 80 degrees C on both chips if you don't take care of the paste under the heat spreader and use a proper CFU in custom firmware, and even then the chips run at 60 degrees Celsius on idle.

If there is anything I have learned about owning multiple fat ps3's since November 2006, it's that YLOD is as inevitable as death and taxes, you just have to do what you can to prolong it.
