FF7, brand new in original packaging...$300!!!

Who is stupid enough to pay for that game. My local gamestop has 2 of them in original packaging for just $15!!!

I'm not yelling at the seller. It's the bidders that I'm calling stupid. Thats just un-believable.

It isn't the International version, just the US version. Even a Squaresoft fan freak would agree with what I'm saying.

Well I kept looking in the PSX RPG search result page and turns out that there are some more originally sealed games that are at least $80 and up.

 

This is why i don't give a damn if the game is Greatest Hits or not.

Almost all games by SquareSoft (Now Square Enix) are all overpriced. It's just stupid. This is why i don't have Final Fantasy VII, VIII or IX, Xenogears, Parasite Eve, and so on. With the price i would pay in one game, i get at least 5 not made by square.

I'd say Xenogears would be a better bet. Pick up some Suikoden 2's if you can find them cheap as ebay 64m3rz pay rediculous prices for them.

On a more serious note, FFVII, VIII, and IX are all Greatest Hits, and aren't too terribly hard to find. I'm not sure if Parasite Eve made greatest hits or not, but I still come across it pretty frequently as well. Xenogears, however, is a bit of a rarity, as are Brave Fencer Musashi, Einhander, and the other non-FF releases.

I don't think Square games will ever be worth much anymore. They are as bad as Capcom when it comes to rereleasing games. The only one I would consider rare now is Einhander since it never saw a Greatest hits release and everything else that didn't was crap.

The rarest ones would probably be the black lables Square Enix games. They were only sold for a short time between the merger and when all the games went to greatest hits but only the most hardcore fan would activly seek these out.

 

Xenogears isn't even that hard to find anymore. Twenty bucks at Square's website.

I was VERY mad when I found out EBGames was selling FF Chronicles for $55 *used*. It's that type of thing that pisses me off, paying over the normal full price of a new game for a used one...

 

The FF games (sealed) actually do go for a lot in Japan... even FFVII, which gets $10 used, could easily go for $100 sealed... this isn't a shock though... Japanese gamers are known to pay X-fold for a sealed game if it's old enough.

However games that haven't reached GH status would usually go for $100+ on ebay.

Those games were xenogeard, FF Chronicles, and FF Anthology, and FF Tactics.

I remember FF Tactics going for $200 on ebay once and about the day the auction ended, SCEA announced that they were going to re-release FFTactics as GH.

You know I don't know why, but I get really wrapped up in NOT having Greatest Hits label games...
I once left a guy negative feedback on eBay for not stating the GT2 was GH in the description.
