Hi folks wonderd if u could lend ur mighty brains to this one. Was in gamestation yeserday, buying aladin for my growing MD collection, and this group of lads were in the pc section and one said, cnt find FF7 and then another piped in and said thats cause its rare !? now is this true or just a load of horse hockey hehe cheers :smt023
they go on ebay for about 50-100$ i got mine for 25$ so search well before paying too much, it's not that rare
Wow, haha, me and a bud walked into an Ebgames the other day and he asked if they had it for PC and the dude handed him one. It was 7 bucks. I saw one at a flea market for like 5$, but that one didn't have the big box.
i seen an add for it in an old mag, but i never knew it was actually released, a friend claims to have one, though he talks alot of b*s
I have PC versions of both 7 and 8. Also, isn't the "Triangle Box" version of 7 the one that's uncommon (I wouldn't call it rare)? I do know that a good condition Triangle Box version and official strategy guide (for 7 of course) will fetch a nice price on eBay, but that's just because Final Fantasy fanboys are a crazy bunch.
i have 7 on pc, and im guessing its probably rare in the uk, here its a pretty common pc game, in fact for ahwle it was gaining buzz again due to people wanting to get running properly on xp, but yea 7 and 8 arent hard ti find here, though the most common version is the platinum version of 7, though the orignaly triangle box isnt that hard to find, the pc version mostly benefited from the 3d graphics, though the only thing i didnt like about the pc version was the controls, playing the whole game wiht the numpad was odd, still a very good port with the midi at times suprisingly sounding better then the psx version, go figure.
There also is a mod on the PC version to use the Battle graphics of the characters on the overworld and towns, instead of the butt-ass blocky ones.
everything labeled ff isn't rare ppl, it's just expensive, because it's called final fantasy. the onlt ff tittle i could label rare so far is NTSC-US FF11 for ps2, but it's still on the shelves.
Mmmm, I would class the first print jap psone version of FF5 and FF6 (maybe 4) quite rare indeed. Odd really when the collectors pack only costs you 5000 yen for all 3. Individually to get the first prints it must be at least 30000 yen, just for the pleasure of the different covers.
I do know that FF8 for PC was produced in limited quantities due to the growing popularity of the PSX. I think EA or Eidos published the game for the PC market.
