I was just wondering if he or anyone knows anything about what "exiting team" means or if such a Final Fantasy team exists. And I came across a strange Famicom cart that says the following, and I wonder if it can be collectible, and for what price. "Illust Y.Amano Copyright Square F.F. Exiting Team"
Had trouble uploading the picture by mobile, but this is the cart in question. I tried to google "exiting team", thinking it might be a development process team, or business terminology, but I found nothing relevant, so I'm very curious. And how much would such a cart eventually be worth? Anyone got any idea?

Looks like a cheap pirate? "EXITING" could be a misspelling of "EXCITING", which happens to be a common word used in Chinese game titles and descriptions.
Yeah, you're probably right. Turns out its got the same back label as the official release with, with the same numbers 880920. And "exiting team" or exciting team is probably referring to the in-game character team... But it's just an unnecessary, strange way of putting it, and why bother mentioning Amino and Copyright Square...
To make it look legit, so that even you thought it might have been legit or a dev item Like some FC pirate carts that have a double Konami logo on the label, just to make sure it looks twice as legit
Yeah... I have been to eager on this one. I just thought the info on the label and the label itself was so unusual, but I'm not familiar with Famicom prototypes or pirate carts. I'd never buy the cart anyway unless I knew I could make some big profit. The seller asks $11,000!..... Well. Now I at least know the owner of the NES FF2 proto still has it.
It could be real, but not likely a prototype. Just speculation, but it looks like something they might give away to people who worked on the game, a final cart with a fancy logo.
Yeah, that's what I've been thinking too. Exiting Team really makes me wonder... Personally I think it's something more than a typo. The info on the label is not commonly used to reel in buyers to a fake product. And why produce a new label and cover up the original one, when you can just sell the original. I don't know...
