I'd blame the producers of Ellen's show since they probly just called Nintendo and said "Hey, theres this kid with cancer that want to become a game designer; can you help us out?"
1)someone rename the topic to Wii Test unit 2) Would I burn in hell for saying that the GC's "small" port (later removed from revision B and C) was intended for hooking up the sensor bar? 3)The GC docking bay ruins the slick image...especially that bulky wavebird receiver (i thought it messed up the looks of my cube too) EDIT: The AC adaptor (grey) looks like a mini version of the 360's brick:lol:
Some aussie-nintendo.com readers who attended the recent Game1 show in Melbourne snapped some pics of a red face-plated WR Reader in the wild. The only picture that i know of a WR disc was also snapped by someone aswell, although it's a very poor shot. I'm going to try and get some much better pics of this stuff over the coming days and weeks. and the WR Disc.
sure, but the threshhold is high www.wariorold.com , the official way ;p other than that.. just wait for an expo or pray that some company goes bankrupt ! That said, magazines could have been given RVT-readers. I m mostly interested in an NDEV though
one of those NDEV would indeed be sweet to own. but those red hdd-based wii would be pretty nice too.
You're lucky if you can get Nintendo to respond to an email regarding the Wii, let alone get a response other than "no" in about five different forms. :noooo: BTW: I want a Wii development kit, seriously.
Doesn't everyone I'm still wondering what kind of support Ninty will give homebrewers, Reggie (I think) dropped a hint they might add something like XBLive which would give us a lot of possibilities.
NDEV and the RVT Readers are both damn sexy, but hard as balls to get yer hands on... :\ Where's Acclaim??
Hi guys, I'm a member of a gamewebsite and a proud owner of such a debug console. But I was sad to notice that it doesn't play retail games ... . I have also a PS3 test kit and it plays retails, so i guessed this wii would do it too and went to buy super mario galaxy. You guys are kinda my last hope, is there any way i can boot this legit game on my debug? Kind regards, Malak
Hmm...considering Debug SDKs it should be possible? I dont know about Wii specifically, but on the N64 it is...obviously, the dev N64 is just a modded retail unit. Could the Debug Wii be the same? Maybe with a Firmware upgrade it would be solved? Thats all i can guess.. kammedo PS : If you ever feel you get frustrated and dont know what to do with it sell it to me .
If you mean with "debug Wii" the RTV-R reader (the green one), I'm afraid you won't get it to read retail games, only RVT-R discs. +I'm intrested too if you want to sell it
