Lol. Indeed, everybody says Wild Arms 2 is bad. I only played Wild Arms (finished it) and Wild Arms 3 (borrowed from a friend, since i still don't bought it).

I only hope it doesn't take long to The 4th Detonator to be released in USA.

WA2 is (I guess) a love it or hate it kind of game. Most reviews are for it or against it. WA3 brings back some foes from 1, and then tries to tie up WA2 to the story of WA1, but doesnt work well. WA3 was good, but it cant compete with the first one. I think Alter code: F will try to tie up the story in WA2, also. WA2 just sort of "happened", and you are either WAYYYYYY in the future, or on a different Filgaia. No amount of "tying up loose ends" will make it fit, IMO. I really hate sequels that arent related to the first story-wise. I dont think anything in that series will come close to touching WA1, and WA alter code F. 4th Detonator sounds promising, though, since the story is it takes place 15 or something years after WA1. I would like to see a WA1 prequel, about the 1000 Year Demon war. I think that would be a good Strategy RPG, but I wonder who the hero would be...? Vassim?

Indeed, the first original Wild Arms is a work of art. The 2d game, using a rather simplistic 3d engine for the battles, worked. (at least for me). What saddens me, is that the game never had the success it deserved, because everybody wanted Final Fantasy VII.

I'm a big Wild Arms fan, since i heard the first whistle from the intro movie. It was a time that i loved playing Chrono Trigger, and Wild Arms really caught me.

I thought the battles were too cartooney, but I liked it more than the last 2! I wonder what that says about graphics over gameplay?
Alter code F will probably be their finest hour, IMO. Great graphics, great story, and gameplay.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but what exactly do I need to decrease load times?

The HDD add-on for the PS2? Im thinking of getting one anyway. I think I might pick up a copy of FFXI if it has everything I need in a nice little package. ;)

Does it? Im also getting FFXI for the sake of collecting purposes, too.
