Same here. I love mine too. The only problem i had was with XBL, but that was as simple as setting up a manual IP address. Edit: Oh and when i forgot to plug the AV cable back in, scared me for a minute when i saw the blinking red lights lol
Looks like what happens to my video card when I overclock it too high. Gets almost the exact same effect and then after a couple seconds, crashes.
We all knew it would happen, and people would pounce on the first error. What I want to see is the first 360 caused fire.
There are a lot of problems?? Is an high number of cases?? The next launch is here in Europe, and i'm thinking not to buy at launch time.
Hmm, people always say, never buy at launch, blah blah, etc. The fact is buy at launch if you want to, just don't be surprised if it is somewhat more buggy than the refined version. you probably have a 1 in ten chance of a buggered 360 by the sounds of things, those are your odds, if there is something you have to play then go for it. Just ignore the smug - glad I didn't buy one remarks! Personally if they were launching with EM I would buy one at launch, so each ot their own. It is the risk you must take to be on the cutting edge. The thing that scares me is the disc scratching thing - is there an tech wizard who can tell me why the hell the 360 would scatch discs?
From what I've been reading it seems like a lot of the error is caused by the power supply brick getting too hot. People have posted around the internet that by raising it off the ground to cool better it allieviates the freezing. Seems like the first Xbox...they all had messed up power supplies too, but they would catch on fire, not freeze lol. Someones house pretty much burnt down from an original Xbox sparking.
I had bad experiences with the NES, but other than that I've never had an issue with any piece of Nintendo hardware.
Well, you gotta think a game console is just a computer, and how many problems do you have with your computer? The difference is you just can't download new drivers and get quick fixes. That's why you have to fill out that warranty card for these things.
