Indeed Silent Language was the best track, although the soundtrack only was released 11 years ago with only two other CDs having odd tracks and arrange versions including a nice CD Video version (currently on a Y16,000 buy it now on Yahoo Auctions...)

There are lots of games I wish Sega would have released on the Saturn or even the PS2... :( Super Monaco GP would have been nice...

Akihabara is still nice but it has lost a lot of it's magic. Even in 5 years it's changed a lot.

I can't believe I didn't know (or forgot) that existed. It looks decent.
And thanks for the ABC COP video - also something new to me.

Besides RadMobile, another Sega System 32 title that desperately needed a Saturn conversion was the superb GOLDEN AXE - The Revenge of Death Adder - the only good Golden Axe title released after the Mega Drive games. Tons of nice, innovative use of scaling in a brawler. I only played it once in the arcade and remember it pretty vividly. Stunning animation, too.

The music in Night Striker is indeed very good. I remember when I first got he Mega Cd version. I'd never heard of the game until buying it. The first thing that struck me was how cool the soundtrack was! Night Striker was probably the first Mega CD game I'd use as an actual music CD. The Saturn version includes the original soundtrack plus an arranged one. Not sure about the PlayStation version though.

i have night striker for the SS as well. was there really a PSx port?

but the game itself is quite dull, but the japanese love it :) space harrier came out years before and was multiple fun in almost any countable aspects.

Night Striker was on the Mega CD, Playstation, Saturn and Playstation 2. It's quite a popular game in Japan as I've seen at least two arcades that have had it, Mikado being one.

Didn't we both see that girl back then? I remember there was a woman around 35-40 who beat it, she didn't even shoot in the last stage (probably b/c of suicide bullets?).

Many people say it's a dull game, but I can't help to love it. There's this spacy thrilling cyberpunk atmosphere combined with an awesome soundtrack... you just HAVE to love it :) But then again, I really like OutRun 2019 which is known as a complete fail in the opinion of most OutRun fans and more than that it wasn't even made by Sega.

    You are playing it wrong.

1: Play the Japanese version (not the US).
2: Play for score (not for clear).

To score higher, you must get the "Pacifist Bonus" on each stage. Don't fire, and don't get hit. Then try to say it's "dull". :) I love Space Harrier, but it offers nothing in the realm of risk vs. reward scoring mechanic. Zuntata soundtrack is also better than Space Harrier's good, but nothing spectacular soundtrack.

If I'm not mistaken, there are at least 3 versions of the OST. I have the one w/ the gold trim. It has 3 mixes of the first song. Not sure which CD comes w/ the Night Striker & Syvallion Perfect Box, but the play is from the master copy of the VHS version released ages ago (all Pacifist, FYI).

I own no US versions of no games :)

ok, will then give the game another try ;)

btw. I highly love the Space Harrier theme & BGM, especially on the arcade. the game was years ahead. technical as well as graphical/acoustic wise.

I was referring to MAME. Either PCB is fabulously expensive (never seen the JPN one, and was only recently dumped and added to MAME). And there is no US release of this game that I'm aware of.

I think it was Pocket Monsters Stadium for the N64 back in 2005.

Got it as soon as I exited the JR Akihabara station in the first shop I entered.
Y100 for a sealed copy seemed like a nice deal.

4 years later I still haven't tried the game xD (doesnt work with my import adapted)

I brought Super Smash Bro's Melee Deluxe for the Gamecube, (along with an spice orange gamecube, resident evil zero and a gamecube GBA base thing. They were going cheap so, I HAD TO. (i think resident evil was around £7 with an memory card, gamecube was £50, and SSBM was £12.) Only to find out when i got back to the house that i need a video cable with my new gamecube.. i found it bazar that they don't come standard with a video cable...?

Though i really needed money when i got back to england, and sold it off.

    Silly.

It's indeed a bit bizarre, but that's the route Nintendo has been taking all along since the Super Famicom. I don't know if there was an AV lead coming with the N64 though, mine had one but it was used and its previous owner might as well just bought it seperately.
