It's a bit of mix and a blur when it comes to the first game I have played. We got an Odyssey 2 which I still own to this day with all of the games I owned for it when I was 5 (Born in 1993...) and I used to the play that thing like no tomorrow; however, I think the first game I ever sat down and played was either Mario Paint or one of the games in Super Mario All-Stars.

I'm surprised by anyone that knows for sure. I honestly can't say for sure. The earliest video games we had around would have been either the Atari 800 personal computer with games like Pac-Man, Joust, and Missile Command, or possibly the NES with likely Super Mario Bros. But I honestly could not tell you what the first game I played was. How could you unless you were a bit older when you started? I was probably 2 or 3, don't know for sure.

The first game I can remember playing was the "Commando" arcade when family went on vacation to Rhodos.
I was probably 6 years old or so.

^perhaps laser gates? Or maybe Defender? Both of those are fairly memorable side scrolling shooters on the 2600... then again, it was probably combat ;) the pack in title

the first game I`ve ever played was a port of an arcade game called In The Hunt for the PS1.

EDIT: Actually, scratch that. The first game I think I played was Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for GBC(my memory is a bit fuzzy).

First one was a text Star Trek game on a huge mainframe.
Second was the pong console bought in 1983.

I think it was Tetris that came packed in with my GB. It might have been Donkey Kong or something on the ColecoVision. It might even have been Street Fighter II or Donkey Kong, Jr. at the arcade machine they had at the laundromat. Tetris is the earliest game I can definitely remember.

We got a PS2 and GameCube a few years later.

And the console was modern in 2001. It released late 2000.
It just wasn't part of the current generation.

A really beat up hand me down hasbro LED football game. It didn't even have a screen.

It must have been my cousins and downright ancient by then.
