I am stoked now that I have soft modded my Xbox, I have all the files I need now to make a new HDD anytime I want. I have games loaded on the 250gb hard drive and XBMC is a breeze. I am going to Tsop it but I am having so much fun with it now I can't stop playing it. I have a new PS3 that's just gathering dust now, I love car games and there is just something about the control you get with the Xbox.

I also have a 360 that needs work but I am not rushing that either.

The original Xbox is a legend in my opinion.

Agreed. They then become gods with 128MB RAM upgrade, TSOP flash, Bigger HDD (2TB preferred), Samsung DVD drive, and virtua Cop 3 installed. Wait. That pretty much describes my system. :p

Is the upgraded RAM just to run Virtua Cop 3?

I play HD videos from my laptop through the LCD Tv so I don't need HD video capability.

It does more. MAMEoX128 Plus is a modified version of the MAME for the Xbox that has the 128MB RAM taken into account to make playing some arcade games better. Some games lag really badly or don't play at all on a standard 64MB system. You can also play some debug games that don't specifically need a debug BIOS. And newer builds of XBMC use it to make everything run smoother. That includes gameplay, media play, and more. Linux will also use it to run better too. I use XDSL on my system and having the extra RAM makes it a lot faster when browsing the web and such. I'm sure there's more but that's all I know off the top of my head at the moment.

Besides, who doesn't like being able to say "My Xbox has 128MB of RAM. Yours doesn't. Take that." :p
