It is fucking awesome. Slipknot and Korn were about the only "nu-metal" bands I ever liked, even as a kid. I still like them. I hate it how assholes on the internet seem to think it's awesome to say Slipknot sucks etc. when they usually had the CD's at some point. I think a lot of there fanbase is retarded but I remember hearing MFKR back in 1999 (before the first) and then etc. and it gives me good memories. The first two albums have sort of stupid immature lyrics, but who cares...there still cool songs. Anyhow, I don't see how people can say stupid stuff about them now, because this new album is seriously good music.
Led Zeppelin Ozzy or Sabbath – either one Testament Rush Judas Priest Honorable mention: Shabba Ranks, Bob Marley, Patto Banton, Scorpions, Overkill, Megadeth and so many more.
Wow, this is a hard one, I never liked to rank my favourite bands, but if I had to choose I think it would be: 1: Dream Theater. As the prog metal fan I am this is my first choice, I loved this band since the first time I heard it. They're excellent musicians, cover a lot of different styles and have that thing I can't find anywhere else. I spent all the money I had in the moment to see them live and still think it totally worthed it. 2: Manowar. Simply the best heavy metal band on earth. Every single album is awesome, and their live performances are amazing. I hope to see them live some day... 3: Motörhead. What can I say about Motörhead that isn't already said? They basically created what thrash and speed metal bands followed and are a big influence for lots of bands of different styles. The metal scene wouldn't be the same if Motörhead had never existed. 4: Exodus. When I want to hear some good thrash, Exodus is the first thing that comes into my mind. It's always the best choice when I need some energy or I had a tough day. Their live performances are great too, they really know how to do an amazing show. After thinking a lot about it, I wasn't able to choose a band to fill the 5th place. I have a lot of possible choices for it (Sonata Arctica, Symphony X, Dio, Blind Guardian, Destruction.....) but I couldn't find a reason that made me pick one of them...
Frank Zappa - Freak Out, Joe's Garage. The Sonics - Here Are the Sonics, Boom The Cramps - Songs the Lord Taught Us, Smell of Female Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland, Are You Experienced Dick Dale - King of the Surf Guitar, Surfers' Choice Butthole Surfers just barely missed the cut... Oh, and I have to commend Oldgamingfart for having good taste in Soul music!
