Was just about to suggest that, just clear cache, go to the site, watch the whole video, then enter "about:cache" into the url line in Firefox. You should be able to find the video via file extension pretty easy. I usually use download helper myself, if you can't get it to work from that site try going to youtube and see if someone uploaded the same video, should be able to snag it from there with no problem. Once you snag the video, there's hundreds of freeware FLV to AVI converters out there. I've got a real good free one on my system at home but can't remember what it's called, I'll post again later.
Bugger, i 've got the file name for one video and a possible location but can't get it downloaded. A custom.select filed open in notepad shows the file is named 900_nightandday_textless.flv and i believe it may come from here rtmp://hitent.fcod.llnwd.net/a460/o21/ although i could be completly wrong but no other normal method of getting flash videos has worked for me so far on these thomas videos.
BTW the converter I was talking about is this one, Bitcomet FLV to AVI converter: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Encoders-Converter-DIVX-Related/BitComet-FLV-Converter.shtml Been using it to rip and convert Youtube videos, works like a charm If you're real desperate, you could try Realplayer also, there's a widget that lets you download streaming video.
Well, guys Thanks for all your efforts but none work. Even checking the cache won't help. Like 3do, I can find the string to where the files originate but they just can't be got. So today I used the video camera to grab them then dubbed on the audio later.. They turned out quite well I think. Sort of like a VHS copy Yakumo
Thats great that you sort of got them yakumo even though not how you'd have liked but at least you got them.
