    On the psone diagram for mayumi v4 solder points 2 and 4 are missing. Does that mean they are not needed?

    I bought a dc chip from you in 2012 still havent gotten it installed http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...29LV160TMC-90)&p=593835&viewfull=1#post593835 but I found someone in Honolulu whos going to do my sega genesis and possibly my dc but I am not going to mod my NA dc which is va1 I am going to mod my jp dc which is

    I can, but Mayumi is just as compatible and is more reliable. Its only 1 extra wire to solder.

    i bought you few months ago some chips and cant remember which is for sat and which is for DC, i soldered one on a saturn but don't work at all :(

    It will be a non connecting solder joint on one of the legs. The chips footprint is larger than the pads of the original, it can be difficult to solder in correctly.

    Yo Bad_Ad! The best modchip for the PS1 is the Mayumi right? But isn't there some kind of trick if you want to install one in a SCPH-1002? I remember hearing that Mayumi v4 don't work properly in the SCPH-1002 and also something about the splash screens not playing when you try to play a game from a different region (though I have a feeling that might have been something only Japanese launch model PS1s do). Any thoughts?
