BRAWL). • WII FREELOADER IGNORES THE NECESSITY OF CHECKING FOR GAME UPDATES; THUS ALLOWING THE GAME FILES TO BE PLAYED SAFELY WITHOUT ANY RISK OF BRICKING YOUR WII CONSOLE. • CODEJUNKIES STAFF HAVE CONFIRMED TO ME, BY PHONE, THAT IF A WII FIRMWARE UPDATE SOMEHOW BLOCKS THE WII FREELOADER, THEY WILL SEND YOU AN UPDATED WII FREELOADER FREE OF CHARGE WHEN ONE IS CREATED, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PROOF OF PURCHASE OF YOUR ORIGINAL COPY OF WII FREELOADER. I just ordered mine at $20 i'll finnaly be able to get those Japanese games we don't get here
So with this I can play any US or PAL game on my Wii? Anything else it can do? Such as roms working with virtual Console Yakumo
Do mind that some US/EU releases still have the Japanese text on the disc, and when you insert such disc in a JPN wii it will be played in Japanese! So there are probally also some JPN games out there that also support english text!
I don't have a Japanese Wii, but from experience games should "by default" select the language of your console (if they don't let you pick language). So if the Japanese Wii lets you select English system menu language, the game "should" select English (if available in the game, that is).
Rail Simulator Fans will always be a mystery to me. On topic though - this is very cool but... WHERE WAS THIS BACK WHEN JAPAN HAD BRAWL AND AMERICA DID NOT :crying:
Well ive ordered mine direct from datel, and already have a couple of NTSC/U games ive had for a while to test it out with Will let eveyone know how i get on with it once it arrives Just a quickie though, does anyone on here who lives in the UK have any NTSC/J games they wouldnt mind parting with (for a price of course, i dont expect freebies!) DD
Ace, now I don't have to worry about struggling with language heavy games on my Japanese Wii, I can just get the US version!
Don't some games require the Japanese bios to run? That is, on an english machine, it won't load regardless if you fake the region?
Definately, i.e. SSBB needs at least a part of the JPN firmware update applied (which comes with the disc) to run. I'm really interested to see how Datel's Freeloader copes with those games (if at all).
